Sensory Snaps! Family Photo Sessions
TGK Sensory Snaps! are back! We are so grateful to Laura Linder Photography + Wonder Creations Photography for generously sponsoring this year’s family photos. Sessions are offered at a first-come, first-serve basis and must be booked in advance.
Please note a $50 deposit (aka donation to TGK!) is due at the time of booking in order to secure your spot. After using the respective link(s) below to book with either photographer - please use the link to our Zeffy platform to provide the $50 payment. Exact photo location(s) will be confirmed by the photographer(s) after booking is complete.
Laura Linder Photography is a Cedar Rapids photographer specializing in newborns and families. Laura believes the most meaningful photographs come from genuine connection—not perfect poses. She creates a relaxed, child-led experience that gives families space to simply be themselves while she captures the personalities, relationships, and little moments they’ll want to remember for years to come.
Wonder Creations Photography: Alisse dived into the world of photography in 2013 and hasn't looked back. Alisse loves to provide others with special images of their families and loves to see the joy expressed by clients when seeing their images for the first time. Outside of photography, Alisse is a wife to a Hospice chaplain, and a mom. Adoption and special needs parenting are near and dear to her heart. Being a mom was something Alisse dreamed of since she was a little girl and she enjoys watching her children grow and sharing in their passions and big imaginations.
IEP 101! Programming Event with ASK Resource Center
TGK is excited to partner with ASK Resource Center for a special “IEP 101” programming event. attendees will also receive an overview of the resources and services they provide. q + a time will also be allotted! registration is free, refreshments will be provided.
Comfort Cuts!
We are SO excited to team up with Capri College for our next Comfort Cuts event - "Back to School" Edition! Thanks to their incredible generosity - there will be NO upfront cost for service. Haircuts will be done by instructor-supervised students on-site at Capri, and scheduled in increments to ensure ease + comfort for students, staff and clients. Please note that appointments MUST be made prior to the event! Proceed to our scheduling link to secure your spot!

Please list the clients NAME + AGE as a corresponding "COMMENT" when selecting your appointment time, along with notes that would be helpful to help us prepare (including accomodation requests, sharing past experiences, etc.)
A parent/guardian must be present during the appointment time & able to complete necessary form(s) required by Capri.
The Roots of Sensory Processing: Programming Event
join us for an engaging and informative evening all about sensory processing! kalie tow, OTD, OTR/L, will lead us through programming that breaks down all eight sensory systems so parents can feel more empowered on how to best meet their child's sensory needs and understand what their child might be seeking. q + a time will also be allotted! light bites + the opportunity for conversation + connections with caregivers also in store.

Smarty Paints!
join us for our “back to school” event! we’re teaming up with studio sadler for a special “smarty paints!” afternoon of art fun.

Touch-A-Truck
TGK is excited to support The Arc of East Central Iowa at this year’s Touch-A-Truck FREE community event! A special sensory hour will be held from 10 -11 AM (no lights or sirens will be used.)
Summer Social + Splash
Beat the heat + join us for our (family) Summer Social + Splash event - to be held at the Shirley DuFoe Fountain of Fun Splash Pad (located with Fross Park in Center Point.) The best part? The splash pad is FENCED IN! (IYKYK) We'll have cool treats to share - but please feel free to pack your own picnic for dinner!
